ABOUT
I’ve always been curious about the inner workings of others—what motivates and challenges them, and how they see the world. It was this insatiable interest that first brought me to the field of journalism, and now product design.
Previously, I spent 10 years as a documentary filmmaker and journalist at TIME, reporting on the opioid crisis, covering presidential elections, and interviewing high-profile CEOs, artists, scientists, athletes, and more. I produced award-winning social media content and feature-length films, pitching ideas to executive stakeholders, managing workflows and deadlines, and iterating in response to feedback.
As a designer, I bring an endless curiosity and empathetic approach to examining potential solutions. I’m fascinated by the psychology behind why people make certain decisions, and how that translates into their everyday interactions with the world around them. Guided by my reporting and research roots, I’ve developed a strong understanding of critical thinking, plus an instinct for acknowledging biases and verifying assumptions.
My Approach
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Dream it
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest.
Build it
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
